But that is not all. Quite often, the reason for a long shutdown is not a frozen program, but a service. To automatically terminate the service, set the value of the REG_SZ WaitToKillServiceTimeout parameter in the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Coritrol section. The value of this parameter is the timeout in seconds, the recommended values ​​are from 1 to 60 seconds.
In addition, the reason for the slow shutdown of the computer, or even the reason that the computer does not turn off, may be running Terminal Services (Terminal Services), which is the basis for the remote desktop. If you do not need this service, disable it: as practice shows, this significantly reduces the time to turn off the computer.
