Prophet Daniel. Prophecies about the second coming of Christ

“The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15), - this is the main idea in Christ’s preaching. He Himself explains to people how to understand the prophecies about His birth, death and Second Coming.

The birth of the Messiah was announced primarily in Judea. On the hills of Bethlehem, angels announced the birth of Jesus. In search of Him, the wise men came to Jerusalem. Here Christ called His first disciples, and here most of His earthly ministry took place. His divinity, so clearly manifested in the cleansing of the temple, the miraculous healings He performed, and the lessons spoken by His lips - all this supported His words spoken to the Sanhedrin after healing the sick man at Bethesda that He was the Son of God.

The Sanhedrin rejected the message of Christ and desired His death. Jesus, having left Jerusalem, the priests, the temple, the religious leaders and the lawyers, turned to another part of society to proclaim His message and choose those who would preach the Gospel to all nations.

Just as in the days of Christ the church authorities rejected the light and life in Christ, so the same pattern is observed in every succeeding generation. When the reformers began to preach the Word of God, they did not even think of separating from the official church, but the religious leaders did not need the light, and those who carried it were forced to turn to another part of society, to people thirsty for truth.

The Jerusalem rabbis despised the inhabitants of Galilee, considering them rude and ignorant, but the Savior found fertile soil here. People here were more open to accepting the truth. Galilee at that time was densely populated by people of different nationalities, and there were many more of them than in Judea.

As Jesus wandered through Galilee, teaching and healing the people, many people flocked to Him from cities and villages. Many came even from Judea and surrounding areas. Sometimes it was necessary to restrain the enthusiasm of the people so that the Roman authorities did not suspect an uprising. Never before has the world experienced such a time as this. The sky has come closer to people. Hungry and thirsty souls were satisfied with the grace of the Savior.

The gospel message, preached by the Savior Himself, was based on prophecies. The “time” He proclaimed was the prophetic period mentioned by the Archangel Gabriel in his conversation with Daniel: “Seventy weeks are appointed for your people and for your holy city, that the transgression may be covered, and sins may be sealed, and iniquities may be blotted out, and everlasting righteousness may be brought in, and the vision and the prophet may be sealed, and the Holy of Holies may be anointed” (Daniel 9:24). . A day in prophecy is equal to a year (see Numbers 14:34; Ezekiel 4:6). Seventy weeks, or four hundred and ninety days, means four hundred and ninety years.

The starting point was given: “Know this therefore and understand: from the time the commandment goes out to restore Jerusalem until Christ the Lord there are seven weeks and sixty-two weeks” (Daniel 9:25), - 69 weeks, or 483 years. The commandment for the restoration and construction of Jerusalem, put into force by the decree of Artaxerxes Longiman (see Ezra 6:14; 7:1, 9), came out in the fall of 457 BC. From this time we count 483 years and get the date: 27 ad. According to prophecy, at the end of this time the Messiah, God's anointed one, should come. In 27 AD, Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit during his baptism and began His ministry shortly thereafter. Then the news came: “The time is fulfilled.”

“And the covenant shall be established for many one week.” For seven years after the Savior began His ministry, the Gospel was to be preached mainly to the Jews: three and a half years by Christ Himself, and then by the apostles. “At half the week sacrifice and offering shall cease” (Daniel 9:27). In the spring of 31 AD, Christ - the true sacrifice - was crucified on Golgotha. And then the curtain in the temple was torn into two parts - a sign that the sacrificial service had lost its holiness and meaning. The time of earthly sacrifice and offering is over.

One week - seven years - ended in 34 A.D. By stoning Stephen, the Jews finally rejected the Gospel: the disciples, scattered due to persecution, “went and preached the word” (Acts 8:4). After some time, the persecutor Saul converted and became Paul, the apostle of the pagans.

The time of Christ's coming, His anointing with the Holy Spirit, His death, and the proclamation of the Gospel to the Gentiles are clearly indicated by prophecy. The Jewish people were given the opportunity to comprehend these prophecies and observe their fulfillment in the mission of Jesus. Christ pointed out the importance of studying prophecies to His disciples. Referring to Daniel's prophecy at that time, He said: “Let him who reads understand” (Matthew 24:15).

Archangel Gabriel, second in position after the Son of God, came to Daniel with the Divine message. It was Gabriel, “His angel,” that Christ sent to reveal the future to His beloved John. Blessing is promised to all who read and listen to the words of the prophecy and keep what is written in it.

“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). God's blessings will always accompany reverent, prayerful study of the prophetic Scriptures.

Just as the message of Christ's First Coming proclaimed the Kingdom of His grace, so the message of the Second Coming proclaims the Kingdom of His glory. This message is also based on prophecy. Everything that the angel told Daniel regarding the last days must be understood in the last days. Then “many will read it [the book] and knowledge will increase.” The Savior Himself, pointing to the signs of His coming, said: “When you see these things coming to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand...Take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with excess and drunkenness and the cares of this life, and lest that day come upon you suddenly...Watch therefore at all times and pray, yes be counted worthy to escape all these future [disasters] and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:31, 34, 36).

We have reached the prophetic period foretold in these Scriptures. The time of the end has come, the visions of the prophets are revealed, their solemn warnings indicate the nearness of the coming of the Lord in glory. But the kingdom of this world occupies the thoughts of people, and they do not notice the quickly fulfilling prophecies and signs of the soon coming Kingdom of God. And although we do not know the hour of the Lord's return, we know that it is near, so we ask each reader to carefully study the prophecies of the Bible and pray so that we can be ready to meet the Savior Jesus Christ and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

Ellen White, "The Desire of Ages"

Many Christians believe and wait for the second coming of Christ. Let's try to figure out when the date of the coming of the savior will come, what the Bible and such clairvoyants as the prophet Daniel, Vanga, Edgar Cayce say about this.

Bible about the second coming

The Gospel says that before the end of the world the Son of Man will appear on Earth and there will be judgment on the living and the dead. The Bible says that this will happen suddenly and no one can know the date of the apocalypse except God himself.

However, I would like to dwell on the fact that Jesus Christ is, first of all, the Son of God, because this is how he spoke about himself in the first person according to the Holy Scriptures. He always spoke about himself as the Son of Man in the 3rd person. Few people think about the interpretation of these words. Therefore, it is possible that before the end of the world a completely different person will appear who will administer a fair trial.

Prophet Daniel

This great biblical prophet had the ability to predict the future through his own and others' dreams. Even before the birth of Jesus Christ, he spoke about the date of his second coming. Through simple mathematical calculations, the researchers were able to establish it. This will be around 2038. Daniel wrote that the savior would descend from heaven and after the Last Judgment, those who did not accept the mark of the beast would reign with him on earth for another 1000 years.

Edgar Cayce

There are 2 versions of prophecies on this issue from Edgar Cayce. The first, the most common on the Internet, does not inspire confidence because it looks too implausible. People who have read the works of the clairvoyant Casey claim that this is just an invention of journalists.

1st version of the prophecy. At the end of 2013, somewhere in Central America, a 9-year-old child will appear, in whom the church recognizes Jesus Christ. He will be able to perform miracles and heal the sick. The boy will save the world. In a year or two, aliens will arrive and give humanity a choice - to stop wars and live in peace, or to be destroyed by them.

2nd option(more plausible). The Messiah will not be born again. He will appear in the same form in which he ascended into heaven, at the age of 33. This will happen at the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century, immediately after the Atlantean library, which is hidden under the Egyptian Sphinx, is found.

Vanga about the second coming of Christ

The Bulgarian clairvoyant did not mention any specific date for Christ's return to earth. She often said that this time would come soon and there would not be long to wait. Many true believers will sense his coming in advance. According to her, Jesus must come down from heaven in a white robe.

This prophecy is very similar to the 2nd version of Edgar Cayce, which says that the savior will not be reborn again, but will appear in the same image in which he ascended 2000 years ago.

Many have heard about the second coming of Christ, but not everyone knows what exactly will happen, what are the signs of this event and what outcome should be expected. The Bible says a lot about this event and many predictors spoke about it.

What is the second coming of Christ?

Orthodoxy professes an important truth that indicates that Jesus will come to earth one more time. This information was communicated to more than 2 thousand followers at the moment when the Savior ascended to heaven. The second coming of Jesus Christ will be completely different from the first. He will come to earth as a spiritual king in divine light.

  1. It is believed that by this time each person will make a choice on which side to take, good or evil.
  2. In addition, the second coming of Christ will occur after the dead are resurrected and the living are transfigured. The souls of people who have already died are united with their bodies. After this there will be a division into the Kingdom of God and Hell.
  3. Many people are interested in whether Jesus Christ will be human at the Second Coming or will appear in a different form. According to existing information, the Savior will be in a human body, but he will look different and his name will be different. This information can be found in Revelation.

Signs of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ

In the Bible and other sources you can find a description of signs indicating that “time X” is approaching. Each person himself decides to believe in whether there will be a second coming of Christ or not, it all depends on the strength of faith.

  1. The gospel will be spread throughout the world. Although modern media distributes the text of the Bible, millions of people have never heard of this book. Before Christ comes down to earth again, the gospel will be spread everywhere.
  2. When figuring out what the second coming of Christ will be like, it is worth noting that there will be the appearance of fake prophets and Saviors who will spread false teachings. As an example, we can cite various psychics and magicians, whom the church calls a manifestation of demonism.
  3. One of the signs is called falling. Due to the growth of lawlessness, many people stop loving not only each other, but also the Lord. People will betray, children will rebel against their parents, and so on.
  4. When figuring out when the second coming of Christ is expected, it is worth pointing out that before this event there will be wars and disasters on earth. Natural disasters are also inevitable.
  5. The devil will send the Antichrist to earth before the second coming.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ – when will it happen?

When the Savior himself spoke about his own return, he argued that no one knows when this will happen, neither angels nor saints, but only the Lord God. It is possible to independently understand when the second coming of Jesus Christ will be, since the Bible contains a description of the events that will definitely happen before this great day. Believers close to the Lord will receive a sign that Jesus will soon come to earth, even before the events described in the Bible.

What will happen after the second coming of Christ?

The main idea of the re-coming of Jesus to earth is a universal judgment of people - not only the living, but also the dead. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ will be the complete opposite of the Incarnation. After this, worthy people and the souls of the dead will inherit the eternal Kingdom, and those who sinned will be subject to torment. It is believed that after this great event, heaven and earth will unite, with the exception of the sphere where God is with the inhabitants of heaven. There is also an indication in the Bible that the earth and heaven will be created in a new way.

The Second Coming of Christ – What Does the Bible Say?

Many seek information about the appearance of the Savior in the most important source for believers - the Bible. The Gospel indicates that before this happens, Jesus will come to earth, who will carry out a fair judgment, and it will concern both the living and the dead. When the second coming of Christ will occur according to the Bible is unclear in terms of the exact date, since this information is known only to the Lord.

The Second Coming of Christ - Prophecies

Many famous soothsayers predicted a great event when Jesus would come to earth and all sinners would pay for what they had done, and believers would receive a reward.

  1. The biblical prophet Daniel made predictions about the second coming of Christ. He was talking about the date of this event, even before Jesus first came into the world. Researchers who deciphered the predictions determined the approximate date - 2038. Daniel argued that after Christ's reappearance, people who do not accept the mark of the beast will live with Jesus on earth for another thousand years.
  2. Edgar Cayce offers two prophecies. The first option indicates that in 2013 in America the church was supposed to recognize Christ in a nine-year-old child, but, as we see, this prediction did not come true. According to the second option, the Messiah will appear in the same image and age at which he was crucified on the cross. This event will occur at the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century. He made one more clarification that this would happen after the Atlantean library was found under the Egyptian Sphinx.

The second coming of Jesus Christ - the revelation of John the Theologian

One of the apostles in his sermons talked about how Christ will definitely descend to earth a second time, but he will no longer appear as a humiliated son of man, as he did the first time, but as the true Son of God. He will be surrounded by angelic servants. Prophecies about the second coming of Jesus Christ indicate that this event will be terrible and formidable, since he will not save, but judge the world.

The apostle does not say when this event will take place, but he points out some signs of the great event. This concerns the impoverishment of faith and love among people. He confirms many prophecies of the Old Testament that numerous cataclysms will sweep across the earth and signs will be visible in the sky. At this moment, you will be able to see a sign in the sky about the appearance of the Son of the Lord.

Prophecy of Nostradamus about the second coming of Christ

The famous predictor described future events not only verbally, but also through drawings, the number of which is enormous.

  1. One of the images shows Jesus descending from heaven with many angels around him.
  2. Nostradamus says about the second coming of Christ that when this happens, the church will not at first recognize the new Messiah. This is explained by the fact that many clergy have already desecrated their souls, so they simply will not be able to recognize Jesus.
  3. Another image shows the Savior and a warrior pointing a sword at his face. By this, Nostradamus wanted to say that many people and social groups will not accept the second coming of Christ and will resist him, but the Lord will intercede for him.
  4. Another picture shows that the new Messiah will be completely ordinary, that is, he will not stand out among ordinary people.

Vanga about the second coming of Christ

The famous fortune teller helped people through prayers and was often asked if she had seen Jesus. Vanga has talked more than once about the second coming of Christ, which will happen in the near future. Jesus will descend to Earth in his white robes and the chosen people will feel in their hearts that an important time is coming. Vanga argued that the truth should be sought in the Bible, which will help all those who have purified themselves and risen morally.

All Christians are currently awaiting the Second Coming of Christ. However, no one knows the exact date when such an important event will occur. Let's consider several versions, because people have been trying to find the answer to this question for a very long time.

First of all, you should turn to such a serious source as the Bible. So, what does it say about this event? The Gospel says that before the end of the world comes, Jesus, the Son of Man, will come to the sinful Earth for the second time. It is then that he will carry out his fair judgment on Earth, and the judgment will affect both the living and the dead. However, as for the date when this judgment will occur, the Bible says that only God himself knows about it. No one else can know about this. At the same time, the Gospel clearly states that the Second Coming of Jesus will happen suddenly. But this version also entails some questions. Jesus Christ always, according to scripture, considered himself not the Son of Man, but the Son of God. This is exactly how he spoke about himself in the 1st person. If he spoke about himself in the 3rd person, then only then was he talking about the Son of Man. By comparing such nuances, we can assume that it will not be Christ who will administer judgment on Earth, but some completely different person, and it is she who will appear on our Earth just before the end.

Prophet Daniel

The predictions of Daniel, one of the biblical prophets, are also of interest. Daniel spoke directly about the upcoming date of the Second Coming of Christ even before Jesus was born. Researchers were able to find out that approximately this will happen in 2038. According to Daniel's predictions, after the Second Coming of Jesus, all people who do not accept the seal of the beast will live on earth with Christ for another thousand years.

Edgar Cayce

Edgar Cayce was also interested in the answer to this question. There are 2 known versions of his predictions regarding this event. Some people find option 1 implausible. If we consider option 2, it turns out that Christ himself will come to Earth for the second time. He will be 33 years old, because he ascended to heaven at that age. This will happen, according to Casey, as soon as the Atlantean library is found, somewhere in the middle of the 21st century. According to Casey, World War III is not expected, but the Earth will be affected by seismic and climatic disasters. Because of this, the Planet will change greatly and will never be the same.

Vanga

Vanga also spoke about the second coming of Christ. She assured that it would be very soon, but did not give the exact date. The clairvoyant predicted that Christ would descend to earth in white clothes. His appearance, according to Vanga, will be felt by those who truly believe in him.

Apocalypse

Already at the moment of the First Coming of Christ, the struggle of the Antichrist against Christ began. At his Second Coming the final battle will take place. The Second Coming will be the triumph of justice, life will defeat death, Christ will defeat the Antichrist. Those who took the side of good between good and evil will take part in this battle on the side of Christ.
“He who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son” (Rev. 21:7).

The Bible talks about the second coming of Jesus Christ. How much can you trust this prophecy and many other predictions of modern and Old Testament prophets, what are the signs of the Savior’s imminent coming, does humanity have the opportunity to avoid a terrible apocalypse? Bible

At the very beginning of the book of Acts, it is written about how Jesus ascended into heaven in a cloud and simply disappeared from sight. It is further said that two heavenly angels appeared to the disciples who saw this miracle and proclaimed that Jesus would return exactly as he had left. In other epistles it is very clear that the Son of Man will come from heaven on a cloud and that all nations will see His glory.
No one knows about the time of arrival, but it is not at all difficult to calculate. There are a number of encrypted instructions and signs in the New and Old Testaments that are beginning to come true in our time.
For example, there is a clear indication of the Chernobyl explosion in the Book of Revelations, where it is said about a star named Wormwood (in Ukrainian, Chernobyl), which will fall to the earth at the sound of the 4th angel’s trumpet and some of the waters will become bitter. We all know that this prophecy came true 20 years ago, with the explosion of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, when an environmental disaster occurred, the consequences of which are still evident today. If we consider that there will be seven trumpeting angels, it is not difficult to guess how much time is left for humanity before the coming of Jesus Christ.
Another clear sign of the approaching end of the world is computerization. There is also an indication in the Bible that they will not buy or sell for money.

Daniel's Prophecies (Old Testament)

The Prophet Daniel had a supernatural ability to decipher dreams, as well as predict events in the near and distant future. There is also his prophecy about the specific date of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Naturally, it is also encrypted. Using simple calculations, you can determine the approximate year of the coming of the Messiah (2036-2038).

Prophecies of modern seers about the second coming of Christ

Edgar Cayce.
There are several interpretations and variations on this topic.
1. Option.
The birth of an unearthly child (2013), who will perform supernatural miracles of healing. He is recognized as Jesus Christ, he will carry out a mediating mission between humanity and aliens (fantasy for the naive). By the way, miracles of healing today occur in literally every church, of any denomination, simply through the prayer of pastors, priests and ordinary believers, which is a clear sign of the approach of the Heavenly Kingdom.
Option 2.
The Messiah will appear from heaven at the beginning of the 21st century. A sign of the approach of His coming will be the discovery of the Atlantean library under the Sphinx in Egypt.

Vanga.
This seer did not have a specific date for the coming of Jesus Christ, but she spoke about the white robe of Jesus and that the coming was close.
