How to draw a beautiful tree. Learning to draw trees A tree drawn in pencil without leaves

Alla Mokretsova

The main part of a tree is a trunk. If we paint with paints, I use this one reception: top part thin wood, we draw it with the end of the brush. Down the tree thickens, so we paint with a brush, laying it flat. And the speech accompaniment such: “We move the brush straight, and then we put it down.”.

When we draw with pencils, I say children: “The trunk is narrow at the top, widens at the bottom and only a finger can fit in”.

In children, trunks usually look like a triangle, an inverted carrot, or "cut down" tops. In this case it is very effective.

From the trunk tree branches come off. They extend from the base of the trunk, which means they are the main ones. They are short at the top, lengthen at the bottom and are curved (children often draw straight lines). I also use technique - drawing with hands in the air.

On the main branches there are short branches - these are additional ones. They are located above and below on the main branches.

Drawing a deciduous tree step by step

  • Step 1

On a piece of paper you need to outline the general outline of a deciduous tree, symbolically designate the crown and trunk.

  • Step 2

The next step is to draw the “skeleton”: outline the contours of the branches.

  • Step 3

Each has a crown, so it should be marked in full.

  • Step 4

The lower branches of large trees are always thick and powerful, which is how they should be shown in the picture.

  • Step 5

How to draw a tree without many branches, which become thinner and shorter as they grow towards the top? This is worth doing at the next stage.

  • Step 6

The entire length of the tree trunk must be covered with “clothing” - bark.

  • Step 7

Branches without leaves occur only in autumn, so if you draw a tree in summer, then frame each branch with foliage.

  • Step 8

To prevent the tree from hanging in the air, we will attach it to the ground with a powerful rhizome, and draw grass and flowers around it.

  • Step 9

The bark of the tree has a rough texture, which can be shown using curved lines and dark shading.

  • Step 10

We begin to gradually cover the left side of the crown with lighter shading.

  • Step 11

Then we proceed to the right side and draw leaves on it in the same way.

  • Step 12

Using color, dark and light transitions, you need to show that the tree has volume and shape.

  • Step 13

There is no need to fanatically write out each piece of paper separately; it is enough to designate them symbolically. This will be enough for plausibility.

  • Step 14
  • Step 15

The final touch will be the image of the glare. They are designated using an elastic band. That's all, now you can draw a deciduous tree with your own hands.

It is important to know that each tree, like a person, is special in its own way. They all differ in structure, trunk, leaves, and sometimes it seems that their mood is different. The mood of the whole picture can depend on the mood and character of the tree!

Would you like to draw an autumn tree? Then watch this video.

Later in this lesson we will look at oak and birch, their character, mood, and external differences. Subsequently, you will be able to explore other trees yourself. Go outside with a pencil and paper and boldly draw the trees that you see in front of you - this way you will become a real master! We will also try to invent and draw a fairy-tale tree that you will not find in any ordinary forest.

How to Draw an Oak Tree Step by Step

Oak is associated with a powerful, old and wise tree. Just as the lion is the lord of the jungle, the oak is the king of the forest. Oak is often mentioned in songs, fairy tales and poems. We can’t help but mention, let’s try to draw this tree.

Oak is special in that it has a not tall, but wide, powerful trunk and a lush crown. This distinguishes it from other trees.

1. First of all, let's think about placing the tree on the paper. Let us mark the extreme upper and lower points of the drawing and align them with the central line of the tree. It will help us maintain symmetry.

2.Now let’s get down to drawing the trunk. Remember that the oak trunk is wide and powerful. Its roots are also powerful. At this stage, draw the branches of the oak tree, but not completely, because the branches are almost invisible through the lush crown of the tree. To better understand where the branches end, use light pencil movements to roughly outline the crown of the tree.

3. When the trunk is ready, draw the crown. To make it look realistic, draw it in the form of planes that look like clouds. They will indicate heterogeneous clusters of leaves. Here and there between these valleys you can identify several small branches that are visible through the leaves.

4. Done! All that remains is to add bright colors to the picture using paints or pencils.

How to draw a birch tree step by step

If an oak tree is associated with a strong, wise, gray-haired gentleman, then a birch tree invariably evokes associations of a fragile girl. Its trunk is thin, like a girl’s figure, and its branches fall down like a girl’s braids. Let's try to draw a birch tree?

1. First of all, let's think about placing the tree on the paper. Let us mark the extreme upper and lower points of the drawing and align them with the central line of the tree. Let's make it a little curved so that the trunk is slightly inclined.

2.Now you can draw the trunk. It is wide from below, and the further up, the more narrowed it is. Starting approximately from the middle, drooping branches extend from the sides of the trunk. They are thicker at the beginning and taper to thin lines at the ends. It is also worth noting that the lower branches are longer than the upper ones.

3. Let's move on to drawing leaves. Every birch branch is covered with them. We will also mark the characteristic dark spots on the trunk.

4. Everything is ready! All that remains is to add color to the picture using paints or pencils.

How to draw a tree from a fairy tale step by step

A fairytale tree is a flight of fancy. It can be crooked, curly, thin, thick, with fantastic branches, leaves, flowers and even fruits. Let's try to imagine?

1. First of all, let's think about placing the tree on the paper. Let us mark the extreme upper and lower points of the drawing and align them with the central line of the tree.

2. Draw a chaotic-shaped trunk and branches twisted into spirals. You can draw a tree of a completely different shape, the main thing is that it is unusual, as if from a magical land. For now, you can repeat after me, and only then try to come up with your own fairy-tale tree.

3. To the fabulous branches we add equally fabulous leaves and flowers of various shapes and sizes. You can add more fabulous birds or butterflies, etc. Imagine!

4. Hurray! Our tree is ready! All that remains is to make it colored using pencils or paints, or draw it with a black pen using interesting lines and shading, like I did.

Success in creative work!

Before you start drawing trees step by step with your children, carefully examine these natural objects and find common features. What is characteristic of any (or almost any) tree? Of course, this is a powerful and straight barrel. The trunk is thick at the bottom, but the closer to the top, the thinner it becomes. Branches extend from the trunk in all directions. Usually the main branches are directed upwards. At the base the branches are long, closer to the top they are short. From large skeletal branches smaller branches extend in different directions, from them even smaller ones, etc. It is these small branches that form the crown of trees. The “skeleton” of the tree is ready. You can depict winter trees in this way - without foliage, just twigs.

Step-by-step drawing of trees with children - a generalized scheme for drawing a tree.
We will dress the “skeleton” of the tree with leaves. You can draw them in dots, creating a mass of foliage from individual dots (tree A). When coloring foliage, it is better to choose several shades of green and even yellow for a summer tree. And for autumn - yellow, red, orange and green colors.
But it is even easier for children to depict a certain plane of an irregular shape close to an oval (tree B). This method is interesting to use when drawing with young children, or depicting trees in a landscape. In this case, first draw only the trunk and thick skeletal branches, and add small branches after you have painted the green area.

Options for drawing foliage - step-by-step drawing of trees with children
This is a tree “in general”. But of course, different types of trees will vary greatly. And, first of all, in our drawing there will be a difference in the trunks. A thick and powerful oak-hero, a slender weeping birch with drooping branches, a rowan or a pine - compare the trunks of these trees with children.

Help you introduce children to different tree species

A very simple tree - step-by-step drawing with children from 4 years old.

This is really a very simple way to draw a tree. Of course, it is unlikely to be able to determine its species. It is only clear that this tree is deciduous. Here we depict with the children only a trunk and a few large branches. Foliage is oval. You can color such a drawing not only with pencils and paints, but even with felt-tip pens.

Oak – step-by-step drawing of trees with children from 6 years old.

This oak tree is similar to the simple tree we drew above. But still, much more detail has been added here. This is a hollow, and the texture of the bark, and branches of complex shape. It's okay if your child leaves something out and simplifies the drawing. If his oak tree turns out to be powerful and stocky, then the artistic goal will be achieved!

Birch – step-by-step drawing of trees with children from 8 years old.

Drawing such a tree for children is quite a difficult task. This image is already close to a realistic image, replete with details and complex lines. Therefore, such work is not suitable for preschoolers. And younger schoolchildren will most likely simplify this drawing. Draw the children's attention to the position of the birch branches - they are leaning down.

Pine – step-by-step drawing of trees with children from 6 years old.

We move from deciduous trees to coniferous trees. Remind the children that pine is an evergreen tree. Therefore, it doesn’t matter whether you draw it in a winter or summer setting - the crown will always be the same. Pine is drawn according to the same principle as deciduous trees, but the green spots-needles need to be clearly “tied” to the branches. And the “bare” part of the trunk of this tree is much larger than that of deciduous trees.

Palma – step-by-step drawing of trees with children from 7 years old.

Before this, we gave diagrams for drawing trees that grow everywhere in our country. Now let's look at the exotic palm tree. A fairly simple and decorative tree for drawing with children is a palm tree. The name “palm” comes from the Latin word “palma”, which means “palm”. Such associations were obviously born from palm leaves spread out like fingers.
We present two options for drawing this tree. The first one is more “cartoonish”, the second one is more realistic. In terms of difficulty, both drawings are approximately the same. They can be recommended for working with children aged 7-8 years.

Trees are almost always present in children's drawings, the themes of which are related to nature - summer holidays, parents' vacation, a trip to the country, and little artists strive to fill city landscapes with green spaces. It is better to teach a child to draw a tree correctly step by step, starting with pencil sketches and gradually moving on to using watercolors.

How to draw a tree with a pencil step by step

First, explain to your children while walking in a park or forest that a tree consists of a trunk, large and small branches, and a crown. Having seen a tree in real life, it will be easier for a child to draw it.

  • Draw two parallel vertical lines on a sheet of paper - you will get a trunk, from which mark the main branches to the right and left.
  • Between the thick skeletal branches, bring out thin shoots directed upwards.

  • Using colored pencils, make the crown bright green and the trunk and branches dark brown.

How to draw a tree with a pencil - birch

The beautiful birch cannot be confused with other trees because of its white trunk with black stripes. Drawing a birch is not difficult, the main thing is to observe the proportions, thickness, and direction of the branches.

  • Draw a thin line on the sheet, draw a second line parallel to it. Make small notches on the trunk and draw out the main branches from them.
  • Mark flexible shoots that bend to the ground. Shade the body of the birch tree with black spots and use a horizontal line to mark the place where the trunk meets the ground.
  • Outline the entire silhouette of the tree with thick lines. Scatter leaves resembling diamonds with a rounded base on the branches and color them with a green felt-tip pen.

How to draw a tree with a pencil - oak

This version of the deciduous tree image is the easiest.

  • Place the wide side of the paper horizontally. Draw a small fluffy cloud in its upper part - a crown.

  • From there, draw lines similar to the nose, eyebrows, and mustache of an old wizard from an oriental fairy tale. Outline the foliage with curly curves, reminiscent of a high bouffant hairstyle.

  • Add volume to the contours of the trunk by outlining it with a double line. Use winding lines to draw strong branches that support the curly foliage with their strength. Using several rays, lowered down and touching the ends, depict the roots emerging to the surface of the earth.

  • Place leaves in the very thick of the crown, forming a living wavy fringe. Erase the unnecessary outline and paint the picture with paints.

How to draw a tree with a pencil - pine

Draw a pine tree according to the diagram - it’s simple and accessible even to a first grader.

  • Draw two straight vertical lines on the sheet, tapering at the top. To the right and left of them, according to the number of branches, draw curly clouds - future needles. Connect the clouds with branches extending from the trunk, at the bottom of which make a couple of stumps - the remains of broken off dry twigs.

  • Draw the trunk with longitudinal lines, depicting cracked bark. Separate the line of the ground with a wavy line, set up a tent under the tree and color your art with watercolors.

How to draw a tree with a pencil – spruce

Even a child can draw such a tree in a few steps.

  • Draw a vertical line, limiting it at both ends with segments. Duplicate it with a second ray and connect both marks at the top point - you get a trunk.
  • Draw paw branches going from the trunk to the sides: the first pair - down, the rest - up.
  • Draw furry shoots from each large paw. Cover them densely with small needles using a green pencil.
  • Use the same principle to decorate the tree trunk. The Christmas tree is ready. Hang multi-colored balls on it, and you have a wonderful applique for a New Year’s card.

Drawing trees is always very interesting and quite simple. The main thing is to use our tips, be observant, and you will come up with a great picture that will decorate a children’s or school corner.
