Cutlets in a slow cooker: general aspects of cooking

Cutlets in a slow cooker are cooked in 2 ways: steamed and on the bottom, as in a regular frying pan. Both of these methods are good. Only in the 1st case, the cutlets are steamed, and in the 2nd, they are fried in oil.

If you make cutlets in a slow cooker for a couple, you can simultaneously cook any side dish with them below: porridge, stewed potatoes, etc. For cutlets, set the 1st program and set 10 minutes. A basket usually holds 6 homemade convenience foods. Put them slightly on the barrel, but so that the lid closes freely. In 10 minutes. steam can be lowered, or you can leave it to go down yourself.

To cook cutlets in the 2nd way, turn on the multicooker in the "frying" mode, then pour in the vegetable oil and heat well. Lay out the prepared semi-finished products. For 1 time, 4 pieces are usually prepared. Fry on each side until a nice crust forms.

Then close the lid and continue cooking. A little juice may come out of the cutlets. Then put the multicooker on the 4th mode. The temperature is lower there, and the cutlets will not fry as intensively. If the lid is blocked, the time must be reduced. A little steam is formed, you can lower it, or you can leave it. He, too, will quickly come down.

Cutlets for cooking can be taken frozen. And if you take homemade, from freshly cooked minced meat, it will take much less time to fry them.

We clean the onion, chop it with a knife or use a grater for this, we do the same with potatoes. We clean and rub, drain excess liquid. We combine these components (onions, minced meat and potatoes).

Add egg, salt, pepper, other spices or aromatic herbs to the mixture. You can put 1-2 chopped garlic cloves, someone will prefer chopped parsley or basil.

Mix well and form balls, which are then lightly pressed down, getting cutlets of the desired shape.

Pour 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, put the cutlets and set on the “baking” mode for 30 minutes. Keep in mind, as in the pan, they need to be turned over every 10-15 minutes.

After the beep, you can lay a new batch. Bon appetit!

Cutlets are a completely simple, quick and undoubtedly tasty dish that is loved by most people, especially men. It would seem, why fry cutlets in a slow cooker? After all, they can be safely fried in a pan. It is possible, I do not argue. But there are also many advantages to cooking cutlets in a slow cooker! Firstly, the summer season is starting very soon, and many of us are waiting, can not wait, when they go to their favorite dacha to plant flowers and seedlings. It is rare that a dacha has gas, most often only electricity is available. And in this case, do not forget to take a multicooker with you. It is in it that you can fry delicious meatballs for your loved ones. Secondly, you can fry cutlets in a slow cooker not only in the country, but also at home. A slow cooker will save you from splashes of fat flying in different directions when frying cutlets in a pan. No matter how hard you try and how much you do not reduce the fire, you still will not preserve purity. But in a slow cooker there is no such problem, the high sides of the bowl will reliably protect your walls and tables from greasy stains. Thirdly, cutlets in a slow cooker are very tasty, perhaps due to the fact that they are both fried and steamed at the same time. The crust is crispy and the meatballs are juicy inside. And they fry wonderfully. Today I will cook ground beef cutlets in a slow cooker.

Ingredients:

  • Minced beef - 500 gr.
  • Green onion - 1 bunch
  • Potato - 1 pc.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Baton - 1 piece
  • Milk - 0.5 stack.
  • Salt - 1 tbsp.
  • Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp
  • Vegetable oil for frying - 2-3 tbsp. for a batch of cutlets

How to cook meatballs in a slow cooker

Place the ground beef in a deep bowl. I crack an egg into it. Raw potatoes are peeled and rubbed on a fine grater. I add to mince.

I soak the loaf in milk for 5 minutes. At this time, I finely chop the green onion (it can be replaced with ordinary onions), add to the minced meat.
I knead the softened loaf with my hands and also add it to the bowl with minced meat. I add salt and black pepper to it.

Thoroughly knead the minced meat with my hands.

I pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, put the bowl in the multicooker and turn on the Baking mode for 50 minutes. In general, my multicooker has a Frying mode, but the instruction manual does not recommend cooking in this mode for more than 1 hour without a break. And since I fried the cutlets in two batches, it took me more than an hour in time, which is why I used the Baking mode.
So, I turn on the Baking mode, the cooking time is 50 minutes, I give the multicooker a couple of minutes to heat up. I form cutlets and carefully place them on the bottom of the bowl.

I fry the cutlets under the closed lid of the bowl, turning them over to the other side, every 10-15 minutes.

If you suddenly realize that the cutlets are starting to burn, you can add a little water. I did not add, I did not have such a problem. It turned out a wonderful ruddy crust.

I fried 5 cutlets at a time, but in general, in a bowl with a volume of 5 liters, 7-8 cutlets will fit at the same time. Turning the cutlets is quite easy and convenient with a spatula. I was a little worried that the beef cutlets would turn out tough, but they turned out quite soft and juicy, just right. That's all.

Cutlets are ready, you can sprinkle them with herbs and garlic and serve. Bon appetit!
